There are all kinds of competitors, the ones who dream about catching a big fish and want to fight for the first place and get the best prize; others just want “in” for the fun; and others who just want eat all the goodies the Fishing Club offers them, like hotdogs, tostadas, soft drinks, ice creams and lollipops. The fishing club’s President is Jesus Avelar.

Even before 8:30 a.m., the line to bring forth the catch was endless; these fish were weighed and then thrown back to the sea. It was a tight competition because the match was good, but everyone knew that the deadline was 12:00 o’clock noon and then the winner would be announced. There were kids who arrived at about 10 a.m., like Emiliano García Peña and luckily won the second place in the junior’s Category. He was really lucky because other kids arrived before 8 a.m. and went home empty-handed. Nevertheless the organizers gave away lots of balls, coloring books, awards, and free drinks and food.
